ASAP was formally founded in 1996 by a group of providers seeking a statewide voice for the addictions field. Over the years ASAP’s membership has grown to over 250 individual, agency and coalition members.

We proudly represent and work on behalf of the largest network of addiction prevention, treatment and recovery programs in the nation. Through public policy initiatives, strong advocacy, education, training and distribution of resources, ASAP provides leadership on critical issues facing addiction service providers.

ASAP depends on its network of coalition members, active committees, Board of Directors and diverse partners to provide statewide and Federal leadership on issues of primary concerns to prevention, treatment and recovery service providers. As you explore our site, if your curious about ways to get more involved in our committees, public policy endeavors or other initiatives, please feel free to contact us.
