Ethics is defined as a set of principles of right conduct, a theory or system of moral values.
The rules or standards governing the conduct of a person or the members of a profession.
Ethical decision making is concerned with the resolution of conflicts of professional obligation.
The nature of counseling is such that great and lasting harm can be done to clients if the clinician engages in the wrong behaviors. The CRC Code of Ethics guides the clinical work of Rehabilitation
Counselors and will be used as a point of reference in this training.
Participants will learn to:

Describe the primary functions, moral principles and values of the Code of Ethics

Identify and explore ethical dilemmas for discussion and resolution

Identify the key principles and interests that are being balanced when making ethical decisions

Demonstrate understanding of the ethical decision-making process

Expand understanding of the applicability of key knowledge through exploration of case
