A primary mission of ASAP is to meet the challenge of Workforce Development in the chemical dependency prevention and treatment field.  ASAP accomplishes this important function in a variety of ways.  We facilitate an Annual Conference at which national leaders in the prevention and treatment field present the latest information and research available.  Workshops occur throughout the conference at which participants receive important Continuing Education credits and gain the knowledge and skills needed to provide the best possible care to consumers of prevention and treatment services in New York State.  Throughout the year ASAP convenes specialized topic conferences, institutes, seminars and trainings.  ASAP also recognizes addictions professionals for their important work, and is constantly strengthening it’s relationships with its peers in the prevention and treatment field to enhance training and educational opportunities.
