Online Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) Training for Education and Health Professionals The NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services and the NYS State Education Department, in collaboration with the Fetal Alcohol Center for Training Online (FACT Online), is pleased to offer a two-week, online training of trainers for education and health professionals throughout New York, from March 1 - 12, 2004. Developed in collaboration with national experts in FAS research, treatment, and education, this engaging and interactive online training is designed to provide state & local education and health professionals with the information they need to conduct FAS workshops for elementary school staff and parents. Participants will learn about the nature of FAS, strategies for supporting affected students and families, effective training techniques for adult learners, workshop logistics, and additional FAS resources. As a participant, you will be asked to:
