Policies toward alcohol and drug addiction and people in recovery remain woefully inadequate. People in recovery experience discrimination when seeking employment, insurance, and other necessities in life which are often taken for granted by much of society. The Grassroots Campaign for Recovery works to educate policy makers and advocate for policy reform that will end discrimination against people in recovery. The Campaign will also support the interest of the chemical dependence prevention and treatment workforce and encourage more people to enter the addiction prevention and treatment field.
