Questions: Ruth Riddick, Program Manager, NYCB Trainer Registry & Training Approval rriddick@asapnys.org

PLEASE NOTE:

2024:
Training completed between October 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024 must carry the trainer's personal training approval badge with an expiration date of 12/31/2024.  No exceptions.  Contact your trainer if you need an updated training completion cert.

2025:
Training completed anytime in 2025 must carry the trainer's personal training approval badge with an expiration date of 12/31/2025.

In addition to approved 46 hours domain-based foundational training, all candidates are required to complete approved 4 hours Medication Supported Recovery (replaces MAT), for a total of 50 hours.  Approved Medication Supported Recovery hours in excess of 4 hours will be credited as CARC Electives.

Please click here read Dr. Jason Page's one-pager on the difference between non-clinical MSR and clinical MAT, and why the former is appropriate for recovery coaches and peer advocates.

Choose from these approved trainers and visit the NYCB Trainer Registry for further information on the trainers offering these trainer-led opportunities (https://www.asapnys.org/asap-nycb-trainer-directory/).

MSR (recovery=peers/non-clinical) and MAT (treatment=prescription/clinical).
