Recovery-Specific Training for CARC and CRPA Renewal
APPROVED TRAINER-LED OPPORTUNITIES

Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC): Requires 18 hours of approved training:

  • 15 hours of recovery-specific education, which may include up to 4 hours of Professional Development
  • 3 hours of Peer Ethics

Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA)

Current: Requires 28 hours of approved training:

  • 24 hours of recovery-specific education, which may include up to 4 hours of Professional Development
  • 4 hours of Peer Ethics

Effective July 1, 2026: Requires 30 hours of approved training:

  • 21 hours of recovery-specific education which may include up to 4 hours of Professional Development
  • 9 hours of Peer Ethics
